Hauling AZ over the coals and then leaving the vaccine in the shed.

Hans and Pierre always looking for a problem

Despite our hubris, Folklorism and narcissism permeate our souls.

We need to find the escape goat.

Could we have them?

Would they swap us 200k AZ for 50k Pfizer I wander

The Guardian are partly responsible for this because of their irresponsible reporting on the SA variant and AZ.

Where have the Danes got all the extra vaccines?

The Danish government has issued a tender for private companies to help quadruple its capacity to 400,000 shots a day — or 8.5 per cent of the adult population — from next month until the end of July. It is aiming to administer jabs to 3m people, the bulk of its adult population, in just seven weeks from the start of May.

“The 400,000 number is quite extraordinary for a country like Denmark with a population of only 5.8m,” said Thomas Kristiansen, a general practitioner in Ishøj, near Copenhagen. “But if there’s the slightest hope that we could get 400,000 doses, we should plan for it.”

According to that that chart Ireland have 338k vaccines distributed and has maybe 5-6% more of their supply administered than Denmark have.

338k/4.9m = 6.89%

Denmark have 552k administered and are a few % points behind Ireland so they clearly have a much bigger supply

552/5.8m = 9.5%

All we need to do is get to Bulgaria and we can get vaccinated. Any Munster fans want to plan the travel logistics

Denmark have pulled a fast one somewhere.

The baked in J&J into their forecasts early. Possibly Curevac as well. And seemingly they procured additional supply outside of the EU allocation.

About 91k to go over Wednesday to Sunday so.
18k a day, and since they seem to take Sundays off, they’ll be busy bees to hit the 110k

Eggy Eggy Eggy Oi Oi Oi

We needed to hit around 14k per day to be in the region of 100k for the week. It seems there were some logistical issues with delivery to GP surgeries over the past few days so they might caught up as the week went on.

But look at how much stock they currently have in possession relative to Ireland. By the figures in the chart above it could be about 20/30% more than Ireland have relative to population.

But isn’t that because they sourced additional supply outside of the main EU allocation?

Doesn’t that say it all.

Why hasn’t Paddy done the same?
