So did the protests succeed in getting rid of the charges then?
The €60 a year charge?
It took me an extra 40 minutes to get home yesterday. For that, I am anti anti water charges.
Some of the mugs on here just don’t get it… And never will.
we’re a nation of simpletons
spending over €30.5 billion a year on health and social protection and lads in santa hats and hi vis jackets are on the streets over 3 euro a week
Explain it to us, pal. How did our political and taxation system become so much more evolved than our European neighbours that we are one of the very few, if not the only, country in the EU that does not pay water tax. How did we get so great? Obviously I understand the first marches against Irish Water, bonus culture, the ham-fisted way they set it up, etc but do yu just not want to pay for water full stop.
Will you organise a rally against the USC? I will volunteer to help with that.

We should elect a load of independents like Clare Daly and Mick Wallace and Richard Boyd Barratt. They know how to get things done. Oh wait…
I am anti Irish Water, not anti Water Charges.
The whole thing is absolute shambles will end up costing the state a ball of money instead of saving money.

That’s fair enough. I just worry that lads a little less clued in would get hoodwinked into blindly following the likes of Boyd Barratt and swallow all the absolute shite he has to say.
