Waterford Hurling (now incorporating intermediate football) 2013 and subsequent years

If called upon, Austin will be ready to go.

The blaas are circling

Theyā€™ll risk him for an opener . ā€¦sure

We are going to go down to Walsh (Welsh?) Park and walk all over the cunts. Tipp by a point a man.

The Ballygunner set up would want to be better than most county set ups considering their is only 9 decent county teams.

They have better access to Doctors/Surgeons/Private Hospitals than Iā€™d say 95% of County Teams both hurling and football.

True but Ballygunner would want to have a better set up than Kerry, Laois etc.

Are they doping?

Gleeson got a quad injury during the week in training Iā€™m hearing. Not sure if it was said on here already

A major doubt with an injury apparently. So theyā€™ll start him on the bench and risk him for the whole year by bringing him on if needed

Lookit, the game next week will sort out who gets 3rd spot in Munster after the big 2

Waterford were fairly sluggish for all bar first 11-12 minutes of 2nd half. Theyā€™ll need to improve significantly going to Limerick next Saturday or theyā€™ll be hammered. On the evidence of those two games this afternoon, the 11 points that separated Limerick and Waterford in Croke Park in both 2020 and 2021 hasnā€™t narrowed a whole lot.

Derek will be texting the lads furiously during the week.

Lot to be said for keeping the powder dry. No point at all in trouncing Tipp today.
Tipp in fairness weā€™re flying today but just way off it.

Iā€™d have a lot of doubts about the goalkeeper (notwithstanding an outstanding save before half time which probably kept Waterford in it) and full back line.

Aussie is box office. His introduction at half time turned that game around.

Patrick Curran was very good throughout and kept chipping in with scores when Waterford were out of it.

The goalie was very poor when the ball was dropping in the the corridor of uncertainty between the small square and the 21. Had no idea how to command that area. His save was top class though.

Aussie was very very good when he came in. Brought the energy we needed and won some really dirty ball which we couldnā€™t do in the first half.

Thought the line were slow to react today. Aussie should have been on after 20 minutes. Monty wasnā€™t at the races today.

Monty is impact sub standard, a role that in fairness heā€™s done well in. Heā€™s not of the standard to be a starter.

They love him for his work rate and fight but he didnā€™t turn up today for whatever reason. I thought he scored a point before half time?
