Davyball playing out now the way it was always going to and as plenty of us called from the start. That was a pitiful first half performance from Waterford.

Reality is, you’ve 4 or 5 lads who saw action for Waterford there today who wouldn’t start for Ballygunner. And 1 Ballygunner man starting.
Until you have your best lads starting on any county team, you’re at nothing.
Manager is a serious problem too. No surprise there, that was called from the outset.
County Board as well too who preside over the shambles.

In fairness to Davy this is the second year in a row this group of players have thrown their hat at it after a decent performance in the first round.
That’s what Davy was brought in to change.

Was he? Ye had a decent team playing a style not too dissimilar to what Davy was doing with Wexford, then ye’re manager walked out. It’s not like Waterford decided Davy is the man to for consistency we need Cahill out.
Are Wexford better post Davy? I doubt it.
Davy fucked us up long term to be honest. He had a good 2019 but brought absolutely nothing through or tried to bring younger players integrated into the squad. He had his 17 or 18 players and never tried go past that. BDE has done a lot over the last 2 years bringing in younger players, and whilst the records will prob give Davy a more favourable legacy in terms of success, BDE will have done far far more long term to help Wexford improve.

Last year, Waterford only downed tools in Game 4 in Ennis after they were already all but eliminated. This year tools were downed 5 minutes into Game 2.

They are one set of very badly coached players.
It’s like the whole lot of them have never played together.
You’ll hardly credit him for bringing in our best young player in years.
He did nothing to bring through other players though. Egan has the 20s in and has given lots of young players game time in Walsh Cup and league. Davy never even tried to freshen up the team, even when it was clearly getting stale
