McGrath has a chance to nail Kk and lance a boil that has been there since 1959 . That team gives Kk a lifeline . I fancy Kk now .
Brick was Waterfords best player outside of Gleeson v KK last year after poor enough form leading into the game, I know he’s a year older now but I’d still have him there. I wouldn’t be slow to introduce subs though. Dillon has good form v KK in the past
Brick is neither an effective forward or defender. He is getting a free role in the team without bringing all that much to the table imo.
He is a hurler i rate extremely highly but he has stayed on a year or 2 too long for me.
Agreed. He is useless. Spends most of his time flopping to the ground trying to win frees. Did it against Cork couple of times but referee wasn’t conned.
And his usual 4 or 5 one handed hurl passes. He hasn’t the legs or work rate anymore to track back or cause opposition defences any problems from a scoring perspective.
It sums up Derek McGrath as a soft manager.

Good to see Dillon being given a chance but can anyone explain why Dunford is a forgotten man this year? Is his form for club alarmingly poor?

Who knows! His club are a middling junior club
Dunford has paid the price for having tonsillitis for the drawn Kilkenny match last year when he was well off the pace and substituted at half time.
Dillon was very sharp when he came on last week. Bringing him on for Maurice was a no brainer. Hopefully if we are still in with a chanc after 50 minutes he will spring Dunford, Ryan and Curran and we will kill them for pace in the finish. It all depends on whether we can hold them until that point.
