Did not see it. What did he say?

Apologies @GeoffreyBoycott

Sorry edit @caoimhaoin

Thanks.

Wow.

Have ye been discussing this somewhere.

I’m giving Davy this ine to be honest.

He is right about them being on the line, easy from where they are.

Also agree about bringing in actual analysis.

Like what Peter Canavan did yeaterday compared to the RTE shit is just, well incomparable

Yip.

Whatever else they have done, but they have improved Mayos shooting out of sight. 5 weak foot scores yesterday

My missus is from Waterford. I’m in unison with @Nembo_Kid for once and very much on board the Waterford bandwagon.

I’ve just taken a snapshot of that post.

:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Disappointing enough ending to a very good season. I guess our expectations have been raised and that’s a good thing, but just the amount of errors we made was the most disappointing thing.
We can take a lot from that game though. The system seems to be working to an extent and the players are more comfortable with it and with Davy and his team. The most encouraging thing was how we came back at times, especially at the start of the second half with a great point by Liam Ryan. I think we have a lot to look forward to, especially with the likes of McGovern and Shore etc coming back. Rory O’Connor looks like a sensational hurler and he’s a huge addition to the squad. Jack O’Connor was excellent yesterday and should have started (ditto Aidan Nolan, 'hon the Halfway)
I thought taking the frees off Conor McDonald would free up his game, but he was nowhere yesterday and we need to find a way of playing to his strengths. He’s too good a hurler to be just another cog in the machine.
We need to start scoring goals. The system is all well and good, but we need to add variety to how we play. We won’t win anything until we score goals. We never looked like scoring a goal against either Galway or Waterford (I’ll discount the goal at the death, even if it was some terrific skill, but it flattered us to only lose by 4 points). Getting into a ping pong ,match with the likes of Waterford and Galway, even a few years down the line when we know what we’re at and can mix it with them, still won’t win us anything. So a lot to work on, but in fairness, it’s been a terrific year for Wexford hurling in both league and championship. The hype is back and if there’s bandwagoners, what harm, I’d prefer that to no one going to see them. Fantastic crowd at PUC 2.0 yesterday, fair play to all who travelled from both counties.
I’d love to see Waterford win the AI, but likewise, they won’t win anything without scoring goals, they can be very predictable, even with Austin Gleeson. There were passages yesterday that were just horrible to watch, fucking tennis as I think @anon70480284 said above. De Burca not being available for the semi (RTE commentators character references and appeals notwithstanding) is a huge blow to them, but it might actually work in their favour if they decide to mix things up and start running at defences.

I still can’t see anyone beating Galway, the team that really don’t need to score goals to win something.

Is it worth watching this on GAAGO? Didn’t bother last night.

It wasn’t the greatest hurling match you’ll ever see, decent enough in patches.

No, it was complete shit.

If you have it for free and time to waste maybe. It was a poor spectacle. Loads of effort and intensitity but for the neutral utterly missable.

I’m tipping Davy to win Irelands fittest family this year.

No one cares.

I fell asleep during it although that may have been as much to do with the few pints the night before to be fair

Davy’s lap dog Seoirse Bulfin and Duignan had a bit of a set to on twitter.

Duignan coming across as a bit of a fool in this too.

I’ve just had a quick scroll down through Michael Duignan’s twitter feed. He seems like a great follow and fellow and a spiky enough individual too. He was having a go at Oliver Callan the other day for something Callan wrote about Brian Cowen. He gets into scrapes with other GAA people like Clerkin and Bulfin. He gives abuse back to random people who call him a dick and so on.

Did you know…Michael Duignan has been coaching underage teams for the last 13 years and only used a sweeper twice. On both occasions it was when his team was playing against a gale force wind.
