I bet he did. They put on a nobel feed in the Woodlands to be fair.A great spot for a wedding

Only thing is you would want to starve yourself for about 24 hours beforehand to get through the feed

The only problem is you’ll ate too much and need a liedown

The woodlands is a great spot.

We’d a great wedding there a few years ago before christmas.

Right I’ve eight weddings and eight stags coming up in 2020 and being honest I’ve little or no interest in any of them. They’d be from the gang ahead of me mainly age wise that i played gaa with and a couple of neighbors plus my friends siblings. Three stags in dingle and three in the same venue in Doolin. I don’t know want to be a prick and just say no as it’ll be very obvious I’m just not bothered going. I’ve no real excuse. Any advice as I presume most people hate going to weddings. Once you’ve been to one wedding you’ve been to them all.

People have enough to organise, they’ll manage the finest without you.

I’m more talking about the awkwardness of it. The second days being in my local etc. I don’t want to offend anybody but I just have no interest. I’d a two day stag in Killarney and a two day wedding in doolin (food was unreal) and it cost me the bones of 1k.

Once you let them know good and early they’ll have forgotten about it. Everyone ducks a wedding at some stage.

Tell them you are very busy with college.

Few are summer weddings but I’ll be pulling out of anything in April/May which does rule a couple.

Barring you are v good pals with them they will be delighted to see refusals dropping in the letterbox

Most people wont mind in the slightest - once you give decent notice. If it’s someone you know really well you could always fire them on a card in advance with a voucher for a meal or something just as a nice touch… but I wouldnt worry about it, they’ll have enough going on and wont give a seconds thought to it.

Doubt he’d be missed

Horrible comment.

Nah, horrible would have been to say I’m certain he wouldn’t be missed. I left a degree of uncertainty there.

People don’t realize how fun I am to be around

Nothing to do with whether you are great craic or not. Youre obviously not close by your post. Its no hassle to anyone except in your own mind. Groom wont care. Btw, your lads seem to have the least imagination possible when it comes to stag venues.
