To be honest, I donât really know NCC. But you get examples of wildly fluctuating standards between neighbouring counties all over the country. For example, Clare are patheticly bad even though theyâre beside Tipperary.
meath are woeful compared to Fingal
[quote=âBandageâ]Was out tonight in Wexico and myself and my TFK astro team comrade Stevie G have decided weâre going to have a huge summer blow out on the day we play Offaly in the park in the Leinster quarter final.
Basically, our sessionâs gonna kick off/throw in at lunchtime, even though the gameâs on at 7pm, and weâre having a barbeque and a piss up and everyone on TFK is welcome. Itâs Saturday, 30th May, 2009 and people need to be there at 12pm.
We live beside each other in Wexford town (only 5 minutes walk from Wexford Park) but weâre eager to get pissed early doors so weâre in good spirits ahead of the game.
Mac, Pikeman, art, cookie, Menapian, cailinlochgarman, gavin, tiger, Jugs, cesc4, Appendage, Gman, bainne, superleeds - this is our time. Text me closer to the date for an address. I fooking hate Offaly - we need to be vicious in the stands to intimidate those cunts and being pissed will help in that regard.

Sounds like a plan.
Were Carlow any use at all Bandage? Bonnar seems to be putting a big emphasis on goals. Suppose we wonât know how far weâve come until after we beat those inbred midland cunts and probably face Galway or Kilkenny in a Leinster semi.
Great analysis there NCC. Iâd say if Jim Byrne gets the better of Damien Fitzhenry on the forty they will take the points.
Carlow had some handy players, especially their corner forward who was good from play and frees, but they were a bit naive and struggled with the movement of our forwards. I suppose theyâll only improve by playing the likes of us and Offaly - weâre clearly not in the class of Kilkenny and Tipperary but their initial aim should be to get competitive with the likes of Antrim and Laois (which they have done) before stepping up to the next tier which will be pushing ourselves and the Biffs and others. Thatâs why I strongly disagree with those who call for a 10 or 11vteam division 1 or whatever. That kind of closed shop set up doesnât give counties like Carlow a chance to get 3 or 4 decent games. Instead, 1 strong(ish) team would be relegated every year and then theyâd be guaranteed coming straight back up by hammering the likes of Kerry, Carlow and Down. We are where we are because we deserve to be there - now itâs up to us to beat the Biffs.
Some great rumours coming out of the Wexford football camp and Iâm not keeping them to myself.
They had a pre-Fermanagh meeting where David OâLeary lambasted the players and put all the blame for the inept league performances on them.
Most of the quieter lads said nothing and then Paddy Colfer and Matty Forde had a go at OâLeary himself.
As a result, Colfer and Forde were sitting in the stand for the Fermanagh game and werenât part of the matchday 24.

If he attempts to instigate a heave against the chairman by writing a letter to the local paper and signs it off as being from the players - it could come to a very messy end.
Christ what a pack of whining cunts those Wexford footballers are. How dare they attack a great, infallible GAA man like David OâLeary? Fucking disgrace to a man those cunts are, canât wait for the real GAA men of Dublin to put them in their place come championship.
the www.wexfordgaa.ie website has finally been updated and looking fairly well i must say uptodate tables and results for the football and hurling leagues
Carlows main hurling sides all border Kilkenny,St Mullins borders Graignamanagh and is only a puck of the ball across the River Nore away from Rower/Inistioge,Mount Leinster Rangers,a joint effort between Ballymurphy and Borris have a border with Griagnamanagh and Barrow Rangers parish Goresbridge,Naomh Brid(Loughlinbridge) might border Paulstown aswell id say.Erins Own(Bagenalstown) borders Gowran.A good few of these clubs hurl in the Kilkenny junior league but only in the past decade or so,they should have started doing this 40 Years ago and it might have had a bigger impact, its a little late now, also its at underage they really need to be competing with Kilkenny clubs, this doesnt happen but it should,Kilkenny Co Board should be doing more to try and nurture along Carlow hurling and i mean that sincerely, whats the point in dominating a sport and not try to improve it in neighbouring Counties for the good of future competitiveness in the GAA?.Ive hurled against teams from all the above clubs and they all have a scatter of good hurlers, the problem always was that they werent being tested at a better level than Carlow hurling and thus werent striving to improve.
I watched Mount Leinster Rangers minor team play my own club Rower/Inistioge in a challenge in 2007 and they beat us fairly well, they were good eneogh to compete in the A championship in Kilkenny that Year, its a pity they didnt for the sake of the chaps themselves.
Didnt Carlow clubs play in the KK MHC a while back or was that only in league?
Good shot of The King on the front page, nice work.

Carlow had a Quirke fella playing with them about 10 years ago, think he was coming to the end at that stage, played in the Carlow 11âs one year against his club, tough fucker, good hurler, think he played for leinster.
a few Carlow amalgamations (or maybe just individual clubs, cant remember) played in the Wexford league a few years back, maybe ten years or more ago. Not sure for how long.
Thats a fair assessment there Iâd say. Div 2 was actually quite competitive this year and this can only be good for developing counties like Carlow and Westmeath. Doubt theyâd be too worried about taking on the mighty Clare next year either.
Too many midland boggers on the site.

sounds like a good plan
we finish the league having scored 28 goals in seven games - way more than any other team across all the divisions.
Pity they wouldnt update http://wexford.gaa.ie/
It carries the headline
The 2008 Wexford county hurling and football championship draws were made recently and they resulted in the following groupings.
The Wexford dyke teams are in action in the Division 1 and 2 camogie league finals in Parnell Park this afternoon if anyoneâs interested/stupid enough to attend something like this.
Iâm in shock lads, i went on the new wexford gaa website and they had last nights results up, fuckin hell.
Senior football results below, all fairly predictable so far, Ncc will be especially interested in the Duffry v Fethard game
Shelmaliers 2-13 1-6 St Annes Piercestown
Duffry Rovers 2-8 1-9 Fethard O Kennedy Park
Bannow-Ballymitty 1-12 0-9 St Martins Taghmon-Camross
