Prob did. Happened early and fully deserved. Stupid challenge. Left a bit of a hole thru centre, but both sides had very easy scores running thru middle with little or no resistance.

Kind of player that will keep doing it I imagine, it was the first person I thought of when I heard someone had been black carded.

And for the record I have none yet.

Yup, black card was made for him. Not at all surprised he got it.

And there’s time for you yet, I’m sure you’ll manage one this year!

Who the fuck was that ref doing Anne’s/Shels game? He was brutal, gave some shocking decisions near the end. There are possibly only 3-4 referees up to standard in the county, likes of Brendan Martin, Eric Molloy really not up to senior standards but still get big games, , giving these guys another card only adds to confusion, at least with Fintain whyte you know where you stand as he only has a yellow card…

I see in today’s Wexford People that our minor hurlers came up against a sharp shooting Meath centre forward called Charlie Bird last weekend. :clap:

Brendan Furlong has some news on the senior hurling panel too:

 • James Tonks (Ferns) and Rhys Clarke (Faythe Harriers) have been dropped from the panel;
 • Aidan Nolan (HWH Bunclody) has been added to the squad;
 • Ciarán Kenny is fully recovered from his hamstring injury;
 • Garrett Sinnott is still not fit. Hasn’t played since badly damaging his hamstring in Fitzgibbon Cup for UCD and missed the entire league. He’s having an injection to see if that improves matters;
 • Lastly, Vincent Hogan (Irish Independent) apparently texted Liam Dunne to say he witnessed the controversial gate incident with Dave Ormonde and would back the manager’s version of events. Brendan Furlong has seen the text. More outstanding investigative journalism by the Wexford People stalwart.

The Wexford twitter account knocked some crack out of that Charlie Bird thing over the course of the game, the person running that is a little unhinged in a harmless kind of way I’d suspect.

is this latest update in this weeks paper? I also have heard a first hand witness account. your initial reaction to be biased by club boundaries over the people involved in the incident would lead you to the correct conclusion

Yes, this update is in today’s paper. I don’t follow the rest of your post. Surely Wexford gaels respect all clubs equally.

No, some rightfully call out other clubs for being the shams they are. It’s just the way it is.

Lost a Senior football challenge game to Westmeath last night.

I have no other details.

We played Cork in Nowlan Park on Saturday in a BCDSHF.

It finished Cork 3-20 Wexford 3-18. I understand we scored 3 early goals but they reeled us in as the second half progressed. No details on starting lineups etc.

Anyone hear the rumours that a few Fethard players had themselves backed to beat Horeswood?

What’s wrong with that?

they lost.

Oh so they are just idiots so

Anyone know what’s going on with the first bet in the most popular list here? A few Martins lads fancying themselves?

Leinster Minor Hurling Quarter Final: Wexford 0-18 Offaly 1-9.

That’s a full time result from Wexford Park.

Wexford were 0-14 to 1-5 ahead at half time having played with a strong wind advantage. Offaly never threatened a comeback in the second half.

FAO of @Gman, @croppy_boy - does Brendan Furlong have any news on the Wexford Senior Hurling team in this week’s Wexford People?
