Wexford GAA 2015

Give us a few match bullet points FFS sake, pal.

Should we be considering Niall Breen in goal?

How did O 'Hanlon go at centre back?

Who excelled and struggled?

I think Aidan Nolan will have a big part to play this season when he returns from injury.

I gave you about 20 bullet points earlier.

I donā€™t blame the keeper for the goals but I think Breen is worth a run to get him back into it.

The fourth goal was comedic. We pretty much all retreated inside the 21 and kept hitting the ball out to a posse of limerick lads who proceeded to run at us again. Terrible stuff.

We didnā€™t cope well with Breen in the first half which was disappointing given the carry on in Thurles.

Chin was magnificent in the second half period ā„¢ on him.

Creating loads of chances. But need to be getting a higher percentage. Is it something in our DNA pal? Weā€™ve always been very wasteful? Like since the 80s.

How was spine of defence? Oā€™Hanlon at 6?

Years ago we needed loads of possession to beat decent teams and itā€™s hard to monopolise possession against quality sidesā€¦

Weā€™re a bit of an enigma now. We have players who can score goals from nothing and we play some brilliant hurling at times but intersperse it with some really poor decision making and shooting. Donā€™t know if itā€™s technique, concentration or bottle problems.

O Hanlon very impressive at 6. Suited him the fact Limerick bombed puck outs down on top of him as he is very good in the air and uses the ball well. What did lads make of the Limerick goals and who was at fault?

I never engage in abusing officialdom and was too mean to buy a programme so had no idea he was from Wicklow. There was an auld lad in front of me longing for the return of ground hurling. At one stage he wanted Ian Byrne to pull on the ball despite being about 25 yards outo_O

I think @Appendage was referring to the fact that Johnny Ryan is from Tipperary so the chap in the crowd was a bit of a clown.

I pride myself on my knowledge of all things gaa so feel rather foolish now

Breen, Shore and McDonald for Fanning, Morris and Guiney according to this team. Harry Kehoe is listed at #15 so there could be some two-man full forward line set up or another pre-match change or two. The selection also sees Chin released into midfield. Neither Morris or Guiney are in the subs so presumably both are injured. Glad to see Breen get an opportunity in goal and Aidan Nolan is on the bench too - looking forward to seeing him get a chance in coming games.

Weā€™d want to be handling these Midland fucksā€¦

Sounds like that may have been bt senior. Massive fan of ground hurling.

Whatā€™s the plan for the Leinster semi final guys? Are we going on the piss in Kilkenny on the Saturday night?

Kindly revert to the Laois GAA thread.

All auld lads love ground hurling. No place in modern game unfortunetly unless whipping on a ball goalwards in around the square.
