Ho-Laois-it!
Was that a full strength laois team today? Not that worried being honest, its hard to get excited about Walsh cup, we tried out a few players and thatâs what its all about. Hard training between now and the Antrim game. We have been warned ahead of our league trip to laois.
Yes
Any news on Andrew Shoreâs appeal hearing in England yesterday, chaps?
No. Missing a few.
Bad result for Offaly. I had heard they were training really well and everything is being done right and if they are poor this year it is purely because they donât have the players. They have very little coming through.
Offaly play the round robin winners in the first round of the Leinster championship (say Laois). If they lose they replace Laois in the round robin for the future until they win a first round game themselves, which could be years and years. Big chance for Laois to escape the round robin. If they donât escape this year they could be waiting years as they could draw Kilkenny/Galway/Dublin for a few years.

Wrong thread altogether.
Meant to go in Walsh Cup thread

Or the Leinster Council could review the bullshit system
Somewhat disappointing result yesterday but best to use Walsh Cup for squad building purposes. A little alarming that a potentially first choice full back line shipped 4 goals but I wasnât at the game so making assumptions about where problems originated is pretty pointless. Iâd expect Richie Kehoe and CiarĂĄn Kenny to be overtaken by other new/returning players and the team from midfield on was very experimental too. Hopefully Laois win that round robin this year as I wouldnât particularly want to play them in the Leinster quarter final.
Whats up next for the hurlers lads - any challenge games coming up?
Shoreâs 48 week ban upheld #justice
Footballersâ ambitions have degenerated somewhat over the last few years from:
Tough opening encounter on Sunday for these chaps in the west mid-west:
1 Shane Roche
2 Paraic OâKeeffe
3 James Breen
4 Michael Furlong
5 Joey Wadding
6 Rob Tierney
7 Tiernan Rossiter
8 Paddy Byrne
9 Colm Kehoe
10 Declan Murphy
11 Adrian Flynn
12 Kevin OâGrady
13 Dermot Flood
14 Ciaran Lyng
15 Ben Brosnan
16 Luke Rafter, 17 Brian Malone, 18 Simon Donohoe, 19 Eoghan Nolan, 20 Kevin Day, 21 Niall Harney, 22 Graham Carty, 23 James Holmes, 24 Paudie Kelly, 25 David Larkin, 26 Kevin Rowe
An awful clusterfuck of a scenario in fairness. Can he play anywhere at all this year then?
Thatâs a weak looking football team/subs bench
Joe McGillycuddy had his 48 week ban for playing in the A/I 7s lifted and is now free to play again. Great to see common sense being applied
Iâm sure common sense will prevail in the appeal and Andrew Shore will be exonerated.
was that not his appeal?
Can you appeal the result of an appeal?
Yes.
