Wexford GAA 2016

That’s shockingly incompetent if true. A complete lack of familiarity with the rules at management and administrative level.

Is that true . now ye have a team if that is

I expect this to get very embarrassing for all involved.

It’s impossible to cover it up.

I had to read that five times before I could understand what you’re on about.

More training? It’s debatable whether they’ve been doing any fucking training under Dunne up to now.

Lay off the Veggiemite.

Brendan pulling no punches in the press.

Saying it’s not Dunne’s fault that he was handed a ship that was adrift due to us fucking over John Meyler…

#changetherecord

Seriously? Dunne has had 5 years and has inherited a 3 in a row Leinster U21 winning panel. The whole Meyler shit is long gone out of the system and if Dunne cant change things in 5 years after taking over and inheriting probably the best batch of young players since his own minor team of the 80’s then it’s his issue, not anyone else’s.

@count_of_monte_crist

Furlong was particularly bitter about the sacking of Meyler. The man gave him complete access and was a money making machine for Brendan when it came to the national press.

The real irony here is that he was completely anti-Dunne before he came in.

In reality we’re still suffering from the fact that our County Board seriously struggle to get a good management and coaching structure in place at Senior level. We’re up there with Limerick in our ineptitude when it comes to transitioning good players from the U21 grade to senior.

i concur.

Brendan is a propaganda machine. He’s a hypocrite and would sell out Wexford GAA for a handy 50 quid.

He clearly has an agenda here and Dunne is only a part of it.

I’m shocked that the Lee Chin fiasco hasn’t garnered more coverage. Ordinarily I’d hate to see dirty Wexford linen washed in public but heads need to roll.

Purporting to give a lad a fitness on Thursday night, after the panel was registered, is the absolute height of stupidity. And to not name your best/second best player in it and leave an empty spot. For the love of jebus. It wouldn’t even happen in Limerick.

Our leaders defending the indefensible then yesterday on the local airwaves like Diamond Joe Quimby.

It was given a couple of paragraphs in Wexford People - just said that he passed test after the deadline had passed and Dunne only had 25 players to choose from. Blatant lies to me but sure hardly surprising.

But he wasn’t injured in the first place. Dunne had the story leaked to the press about the supposed injury. It’s a complete shambles!!

Has Chin said anything on social media / to informed sources / some lad who’s hair he was cutting?

Oh dear jebus let that be true

as much as I think elements of the county board are indeed a shambles, the submitting of the team and panel is squarely at the door of the senior hurling management. Basically, it is up to management to send in their list of names and numbers to the county board and all they do is tidy it up (and more often than not they just hit forward on the email) and send it up to Croke Park. They have no input as to who and who should not be named or otherwise. If the management left a player out, it is totally their fault.

Quite, it is too easy to lay the blame at the door of the administration staff, seems to be quite an amount of ignorance with the current set both of the rules and how to actually set a team up to play hurling.

:astonished: :joy:

Maybe so Gman but I’d imagine that in a normal county the conversation might’ve gone like this:

‘Lads - ye’ve only named 25 - ye can have 1 more, you do know that once it’s in it can’t be changed? i.e. any player that isn’t in it cannot play on Saturday. Are you happy with this?’
