Wexford GAA 2016

Wexford GAA Twitter account getting emotional about refereeing decisions in the minor hurling final. Anyone at it?

On about forgetting heart attack pills

I’m not at it. We’ve just conceded a goal :disappointed:

Tweeting like a teenage girl:

“Nooooo another goal for Dublin…”

Wexford everyone will want ye are so good

We were a point up with 5 mins left and conceded 2 late goals.

Time to disband Wexford GAA once and for all.

Maybe amalgamate with Carlow ?
Would Carlow take ye on ? Imagine the fucking jerseys though !!!

We’ll amalgamate for the hurling.

No, but got a text from a mate from Galway who was at it and he was saying that the ref blackguarded Wexford all day. No further specifics beyond that. I’ll be talking to him tomorrow and will enquire.

Peter Burke was the ref.I am reliably informed by Kilkenny folk that he is incompetent.

Bad and all as the year has been for Wexford, they’ll surely have a decent chance on Saturday against whichever of the three weaker sides from Munster they’re pitted against?

2015 - beaten out the gate by Cork
2014 - beaten out the gate by Limerick (took 2 attempts to beat a terrible Clare team AET with 2 extra men)
2013 - beaten out the gate by Clare

Yep, we’re brimming with confidence alright

We play the losers of Limerick/Tipp in the AI minor quarter final

I was at it. I thought the ref was harder on Dublin but I would think that.

It was a poor enough game with defences on top. Dublin got a scuttery goal with 5 minutes left and kicked on to win.

Rory o Connor was excellent all through though did miss some handy frees. He got a straight red for a wild pull near the end. Also good were Quinn Saunders and Firman and Cullen in the half back line.

Lost to Clare after extra time in 2013 (possibly could have won but for disgraceful refereeing when Tomas Waters was injured) and beat Clare in 2014.

Clare were about 10 points up and pulled off their best players and we got lucky.

In 2014 we had first a 1 man advantage and then a 2 man advantage in the replay and still couldn’t beat them in normal time.

Where did you see that? Limerick played Galway last year so I assumed it would swap this year.
