Wexford GAA 2017 - Gorey Gorey, the Messiah is still here!

Davy’s afeared of no man. Only the bravest and the most faithful would chance New Ross

Davy apparently said he wanted somewhere that reminded him of Ennis.

Surely he would have went for Ennis-corthy then?

An ex-Donegal underage player from St Eunan’s called Peter Devine is in the Wexford football squad for the league according to The Wexford People. He’s a teacher in Enniscorthy CBS.

He went some distance for work .

He has joined Castletown. Can he play inter-county though if he hasn’t played a club game yet? (Seanie Johnston had to play a club hurling game first) Ben Brosnan is also on his way to Castletown if the transfer is approved

May as well stick it here rather than the social media thread. Very good win from Peters today (the cunts). Thats a fair achievement to get. To top of their (and former students) day, Good Counsel lost by 2 points to the Marist in the Juvenile Leinster final.

Do any of these lads actually live in Castletown? They’re some crowd for sniffing out the transfers.

Yes that’s a nice little bonus alright. Maybe ye’ll change the rules for the juveniles to let a few of your juniors play.

Or change jersies to make sure some top player doesn’t get sent off. Cunts.

Oooft.

That must be the greatest victory in St Peter’s College history*.

*Actually did we win an All Ireland hurling title or two in the 1960s?

The 1992 Leinster football title win came after a series of narrow wins, including a second replay in one game. Today was a massacre. What a wonderful achievement.

The Horeswood of North Wexford.

H’an Kev Kehoe!

Was Des Bishop on the squad in 1992?

I was at the game with the 'oul fella but cannot remember.

St Peter’s won four Colleges All Ireland hurling titles in 1962, 67, 68 & 73. All four All Ireland finals were won in replays.

I reckon today ranks higher as those hurling wins would have been earned with a load of weird bogger bastard boarders in the team. Today was a victory for Wexford town and the relatively sophisticated surrounding districts.

Great to see O’Moore Park looking glorious is the sunshine, what a sod

Two nice jerseys btw, combined with the classic inhaler in the sock

Fromt he last game it looks like there was only one Townie club represented.

No starters from the Sars?

Thats the trend across the county now on most teams. Townie club numbers are dwindling. I presume as a result of more and more people moving out of towns to live.

The Martins and Glynn Barntown are essentially townies at this stage.

Important that there’s some sort of controversy now as part of the celebrations.

Some car smashing or whatever deviancy young lads get up to these days.

I mentioned last week that most of the Sars lads go from Wexford CBS primary to the secondary school.
