Wexford GAA 2017 - Gorey Gorey, the Messiah is still here!

It was some finish to the game. Glynn were up 10-5 and had 2 open goal chances, one great save, one driven wide. I would have left if either went in, it looked all over bar the shouting. But credit Gusserane, they slowly came back into it. Graham Cullen was like a central holding midfielder, all going thru him. Mark Rossiter came on at half time and made a noticeable difference to the forwards. Shane Cullen really stood up too and got on a lot of ball. They scored 6 unanswered, Rossiter levelling it with a fantastic score from 45 out on the stroke of full time and Cillian Kehoe, who had done damn all when he came on kicked the winner one minute later. Glynn never got full possession again and Gusserane won their first title since 1975.

Doubtful, I hear he isn’t a fan of fistball

Davy Fitz is a great appointment. Over to the players now, no more excuses… the county board have gone out and got the most qualified person they could for the position.

Lads who have walked from the panel or left for whatever reason in the past few years now have to come back in and show what they are made of. Can’t blame a manager if they don’t have the desire or commitment for intercounty hurling. It’s a clean slate now.

Any news on the football manager?
I assume we will go for another box office appointment after Davy?

Is the Banty rumour just a rumour? I read somewhere he was in the running for the cavan job.

Glynn threw that match away.Great to see the Deputy Principal of Terenure College come on and win a County Medal!

Absolute scenes

Go on.

It’s been offered to someone, awaiting their decision…

Just Gusserane winning the football.

Plus one of the greatest managers of this generation jumping on board with the hurlers.

Scenes.

From Kerry?

And now Pikeman’s back. @Tassotti was right, something very special is happening in Wexford.

Any chance of a cryptic clue as to who was offered? Or alternatively their name?

I just came in to say you’re in safe hands. :ronnyroar:

Who’s funding Banty? Or did we find oil under the Ferns centre of excellence?

Why are Wexford blowing money on these managers with average squads? to be more competitive in division 2 and 4? Would they not wait a few years til they develop squads who might challenge for something.
