It has a microSD memory card. Not sure what Nokia use.
i have the n8, not as smooth as the top line htc or apple but still a grand phone, great camera but battery life is woeful for a nokia
Cheers, that’s the same one.
One last question - do the HTC phones support the same charger as the newer Nokias? The mini USB type ones? They work for Blackberrys as well.
I believe that’s an EU requirement now. Not sure if it’s mini USB or micro USB (there’s a difference I think) but fairly sure the new HTC phones would be on that too.
I have a HTC sense Mac and my charger works on Mrs. Lockes Samsung Galaxy S (great phone) and Blackberry’s also. Rocko’s comment about EU standard chargers would make sense
I’m finally gonna upgrade to one of these ‘smart’ phones… Being honest I am no way techy and would be happy enough with decent music, camera and email/ social network access.
I’ve read a few reviews and the HTC Desire S and the Samsung Galaxy S seem to fare pretty well…
What would you lads recommend ?
Also, just looking at the basic plan, is 250mb data allowance much ? I have broadband at home / work and wouldn’t use it a pile outside that maybe 30-60 mins a day?
What is the difference in price between the 250mb and the next bundle up?
You would could use up the 250 MB handy enough if you were doing a lot of browsing, you tube videos, work email etc.
The Galaxy is good, a bit light (as in I don’t know would it stand up to much punishment), the newest version of it, Galaxy II, is due out soon.
It almost doubles with 02… Shop around me thinks.
Cant see myself using it alot for browsing, but I say that now…
you can get a gig with meteor and 200
mins and texts for 3
quid. You might also want to have a look at emobile. be no harm in waiting to see what the new nokia/ms phone has to offer
Despite recommending the HTC Sensation to others recently I’ve decided to go for a Samsung Galaxy S 2 as my latest phone. It’s a fucking cracker. Build quality certainly doesn’t feel as nice as the HTC phones, it’s more iphoney plastic, but the screen is superb.
Had you used the first Galaxy?
Would be interested to hear how it has advanced. The light plastic cover is a let down with them, was hoping they would go with something more solid for Galaxy 2.
What company did you get that through?
wouldnt go near a samsung again after the fucking tocco
saw the n9 release bumpf yesterday. Looks good even if nokia are abandoning meego
I had the Jet and while I thought it was ok at the time, it was actually shit.
They have abandoned the idea of running their own OS now though and run almost everything on Android.
The Galaxy looks very good for the casual user but it a bit shit from an Enterprise side of things.
Sensation is the business
A bit of advice needed. I need to upgrade and am considering making the switch to a smart phone. I don’t really use my current phone for much apart from calls, texts and photos. The odd bit of browsing would be handy but I’m sure I’d use it more and more if it was to hand. The thing that’s putting me off the smart phones is the shit battery life.
Anybody have any suggestions?
I’ve no interest in paying crazy money either.
are you bill or payg ? And what tariff are you on
he asked for sugegstions not questions
Samsung Galaxy 2 user since last Saturday. Was initially going with the Sensation but two different shop assistants advised me other wise.
I am happy with it so far but I haven’t had time to explore the full range of artillery.
I don’t think there’s any smart phone out there at moment that you won’t have to charge at least every night.
What the fook do people want? Fucking nuclear powered phones that never need recharging? Bullshit.
