Lads, would it be normal for the phone to be fully charged after about two hours first time around?
another reason for rooting a phone. can get root apps that will help sustain battery life and re calibrating the battery.
Dear Mac,
I was looking at this -> http://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-1900mAh-Batteries-Sensation-Mytouch/dp/B0058SK7YS/ref=pd_luc_sbs_04_01_t_lh
Do you think this would be a worthwhile price given your gripe with the battery?
Is your battery charged ?
Yeah, cheers pal. The green light went on so I pulled the charger out.
How do I root a phone?
It could well be. Although carrying a spare battery around seems far too organised for me!
It will look pretty suave being the Stringer Bell of the office though, as if I couldn’t get any cooler.
Fellas, have you found that all mobile phone providers offer you shit upgrades once they have you signed up? Is it best to simply keep switching between them all the time?
I ask because I’m due a ‘silver upgrade’ with O2. But that basically seems to mean fuck all - I’d still have to pay €149 for the Samsung Galaxy SII or whatever it’s called or €179 for the iphone 4s. Plus I’m on some set package that offers me 2GB data usage per month at the moment but they’ll only give me 700mb for the same price this time and I’d have to pay extra if I go above it.
They seem to offer you a good deal to sign you up initially but then gradually try to screw you over and hope you won’t notice it or will just not be arsed switching.
Just play them off each other…
Sent from my HTC Desire S using TFK App
Have decided to buy new fancy shmancy phone and I know nothing about the shit
Rabbi Krsutofsky, is it right to buy an iPhone?
Are there any better alternatives along the same lines?
Yeees, for he who is without a good phone is without the wisdom of the mysterious floating internet.
You basically have 3 options.
- Apple iPhone. Been around a while. Becoming a bit dated software wise. Only one phone to choose from.
It’s for you or it’s not. Music software on the phone is better than anything else I’ve seen although using iTunes is not fun. - Google Android phones. Lots of phones, shapes and sizes. Choose the best one to suit your needs. Big screen, small screen, good camera, bad camera. They have the most apps too.
- The outsider at the moment, Microsoft Windows 7 Phone. They have bet the farm on their new metro style. Their initial offering 7.0 was pants. Their update from that which all Windows phones will have now is pretty good and has got widespread positive reviews. Windows 8 will have the same style as Windows phone. Same as Android with the choice of phones. Nokia are making Windows phones.
They all pretty much do the same thing. Microsoft phones are a bit behind with apps but they are catching up.
I have an iPhone but I’ll probably move away from it next phone I get. I want to start making phone apps and making iPhone apps is a pain in the hole on Windows and I’m not buying a Mac, ever.

Cheers mate.
Don’t forget that there’s no TFK app for Windows phones.
As an aside, the level of downloads of the TFK app on iPhone is a huge multiple of the Android equivalent. Bunch of Apple loving pricks on this site.
In fairness, most of the celebs we abuse are more likely to have iPhones
Rocko, I prefer the generic mobile app to the iPhone app.
There, I said it.

I must disable that.
Why not buy the iphone 4s and sign up for the new contract but continue to use your old phone and sell the iphone 4s (unlock it).
they are going for 400 on gumtree or adverts so don’t be greedy and you could make a nice few quid on it.
Yours in notions,
GSH.
I have 2 batterys for my galaxy ace, does anyone know if a console can be bought where I can just stick the spare battery in to charge it? It’s a pain in the hole putting it in and out of the phone to charge it.
Could someone answer balloobas’ query please?
I also have a query and I would appreciate the forum’s assistance.
I currently use a HTC Desire and am with O2.
I have now taken possession of my Samsung Galaxy SII and am moving to Vodafone.
I am retaining my existing mobile phone number but I now have a new SIM card. How do I get the contacts on my current SIM card onto my new SIM card and phone?*
- this may be a retarded question.
