I have a Lumia 1520 since the start of the year and had a Lumia 920 before that.
I am more than happy with it. The 1520 is a 6 inch phone which is too big for most people.
However, you’ll see from the size of the new iPhones and Androids that bigger screens are the trend.
The windows phone software releases have been getting better and better. You can sign up for the developer program and get the latest release as they arrive.
I’ve had the developer version since March. I got the updated firmware [Lumia Cyan] a few weeks ago which was also a nice upgrade.
The app store while limited in an overall numbers sense when compared to Google Play and iTunes has everything I need. e.g. Whatsapp, Spotify, SlingPlayer etc…
The Apple lads continue to take the piss with their “innovations”. NFC or contactless payment via mobile phones has been around for years.
From a quick look at the new iPhone spec I can already see a number of benefits that the 1520 has over it:
e.g.
[]Bigger and better screen 326 ppi v 367 ppi [Edit: This is compared to the smaller iPhone, the bigger one is comparable, slightly better ppi]
[]Much better camera 8MP v 20MP
[]External memory expansion with SD card
[]Double battery life.
[]Twice the RAM
[]50% faster processor
And all that in a phone that has been on the market almost a year.
If there was no such thing as Windows Phone I’d be getting a Samsung Note 4, which has just hit the market and has better specs than my 1520.
I’m assuming a 1530 will hit the market soon with Note 4 type specs.
“So I have a Lumia”…
No one, will ever, want to have sex with anyone that says that. Ever.
Girls don’t do tech.
Ok. Some do but they are not the ones you want.
The ones you want know a BMW is awesome but won’t know fuck all more about cars.
They maybe know what a Mont Blanc pen is and yes a Parker is going to also put ink on paper but they won’t put out for Parker boy.
What girls DO know is that if you’ve an iphone6 you are cool.
You’ve money to burn and you won’t have to explain RAM or storage or megapixel (anything above 2 or 3 is a waste unless you’re printing a4+).
So, the the iPhone is a piece of art. It always has been. Girls love them and for good reason.
It’s the ‘IWC Portuguese’ of the phone world but women actually know about it so it’s a no brainer, whereas they won’t know an IWC from a Mickey Mouse watch.
It’s the chat up line you never need to say.
Pulling out a fucking Lumia is akin to telling a girl you’ve got herpes.
The screen is may be better which is handy for watching porn while you jerk off cos no bird will look at you.
Buy the iPhone 6 and sit back and enjoy the sex fest that will ensue.
Buying any other phone, other than an iPhone 6 is just going to attract other guys.
The iPhone 6 is the dog whistle for birds.
Yours in still being happy enough jerking off using the iPhone if the need arises (pun intended),
GSH.
I getting a permanent popup add on my iPhone on the RTE website. Never got it before and it blocks a lot of the screen, very annoying.
I can’t close it down. It runs with the screen all the time.
Done a search on this but found nothing.
Any ideas how I’d get rid of it?

Any more ideas?
Delete the app and reinstall?
My iPhone 6 is a wonderful wonderful phone. Very pleased with it.
Was unsure whether to get 6 or 6 Plus but when I saw them in person I knew I’d never be able to put 6 Plus in the pocket of my skinny jeans so had to go for the 6.

A guy at work bought one Friday. Because of this he is selling his 5S, which was bought directly from apple and is now 6 months old. I think I’ll be taking it off him for 350. It’s 599 new from the apple store.
No mate, direct from apple, sim free. Like my current iPhone 4. I stick in my own sim and pay approx 20 euro on credit every 5/6 weeks. 24 month contracts are for mugs.
