I’ll tell you what I’d let her on…
She’s no AM I’ll give you that
in all of this i think Pat Ks missus deserves an honourable mention, he is punching way above is weight!
What first attracted you to millionaire Pat Kenny?
Why do you think hes jumping ship and is money mad? Shes a hard woman to keep in that lifestyle obviously.
I don’t know. Pat carries a lot of weight. Mostly around his pockets.
He’ll need bigger pockets soon
Classic Hits 4FM.
Aine Lawlor doing a good job on Marion Finucane’s show. I would give her the gig.
RTE Radio One is excellent I think - apart from Tubridy from 9-10. Morning Ireland is excellent, Kenny is an excellent radio broadcaster. News at One and Drivetime are decent as well.
Cooper’s show on Today FM is excellent - probably the best broadcaster on radio in Ireland. Despite initial hatred for the show, Off The Ball on Newstalk in the evenings is a very informative sports show if you can get by the smarmy presenters.
Sam Smyth’s show on Sunday mornings on Today FM is quite good. I would always listen to Dunphy on current affairs but he’s not on radio anymore.
It’s amazing how much better Kenny is on the radio compared to on tv. As for Tubridy I don’t know why they even have him on either.
Sean O Rourke getting Pat Kenny slot with Aine Lawlor doing News at One and Week in Politics.
Bad decision. He is an excellent current affairs guy but it was obvious in the interview by Aine Lawlor today that, unlike her, he isn’t comfortable at the lighter stuff. I still think she should have got it. Tubridy must be sick, lost over on 2fm.
He seemed really nervous during that interview. I think he’s a good appointment, they need someone with gravitas, but if that was an indication then it doesn’t bode well alright.
I agree, he has the gravitas required and he will resonate with both urban and rural listeners. Perhaps he’ll seem more at ease with the lighter stuff as he settles in. I think one of Ryan Tubridy’s main shortcomings is his inability to empathise with rural and older people and their reciprocal failure to identify with him. He did a special on the Late Late Show one evening on isolation of people in rural areas and it was even more difficult than usual to watch.

4FM and Today FM Best by far
The section on the Newstalk’s the Right Hook with that conservative from the US, Michael Graham is always good for a laugh for two reasons:
- someone who can out bluster and out shout George Hook
- just shows how nuts some of the otherwise intelligent conservatives in the US really are…
hmmm
Pat Kennys first day on air at Newstalk…
First guest is Bono so I switched off.
Buddy of @Mac Ivan Yates is being interviewed shortly so I’ll probably switch back on again. Incidentally Ivan is back at the wheel on the breakfast show from Wednesday.
oh jesus… switched back on too early… Bono is reciting some of Heaneys work.
