Great interview. Souness held very little back. I’ve been of the view for a while that McDevitt is the best interviewer on Irish radio. Never shies away from the awkward questions and always sounds interested in what he is being told.

Cal Thomas on now arguing that Ted Kennedy was under the influence of communist hookers.
I dont know anything about Cal Thomas because I rarely listen to Today Fm at this time of the day.
But I would say the above is a fair misrepresentation of what he actually said, which was that it is now reported Kennedy visited hookers on trips to communist countries and a separate point that kennedy may have been influenced by left leaning sorts whilst in these countries. Cooper then made a joke that perhaps they were communist hookers, thomas had little or no interest in discussing the hookers unfortunately, I think he may even have disdainfully called it the tabloid angle.
If you knew something about Cal Thomas you might know where he’s coming from.

Newstalk presenter Marc Coleman and guest and fellow Sindo writer Carol Hunt complaining about the amount of nepotism from TDs in appointing family members as personal assistants etc. That’s fair enough, but they might want to be consistent in exposing similar nepotism when it comes to their newspaper.
Last night on Newstalk? Hunt came across as some bullshit artist imo. I liked the Italian fella’s take on it, nice to have some degree of clarity on the matter. Couldnt give a fuck about nepotism of this sort really, most of these jobs are going to be filled by some pleb, might as well be one of their plebs really. Like the driver situation, why not have a family member do that role if you want to. Your job, your choice.
Has anybody tried to use the new RTE Radio Player? It won’t work for me at all.
