I know that and you know that… Try telling it to Brenda and Mary.
So why don’t they come out and shut the crèches then?
It’s just another absurd arbitrary decision that they picked out of their arses.
Money
Keep them home lads. Let’s make the final push here.
A thread about new variant experience amongst children in London.
This has caused mass hysteria and wild panic…in my house.
That’s a big part of it. They’ve budgeted for paying teachers and snas wages for the year they’d have to find extra to pay creche workers if they closed them. Also creche workers don’t have a strong union, aren’t ‘respected’ as much as teachers and no politicians used to be creche workers.
The genie is well out of the bottle here. I had a text from a very level headed pal last night. Usually unflappable, but he was in complete panic mode. Like Celtic defending a run of the mill corner. He said it’s too late now, it’s going to be like trying to put shit back in a dog.
Couldnt resist…
Doesn’t suggest increased danger to children. Just that they’ll get it and spread it, so they’ll be the danger.
This is what was initially said back in March/April, children were vectors.
Pinch of salt territory this, for me
I suspected that the virus was a plan hatched by childcare workers way back… My suspicions have now been confirmed.
But wait…
Case in the crèche, one of the staff positive.
We’re out for 2 weeks
My sympathies. Coco melon is better than any crèche
Super Why? also.
I thought that was a sentence, spent a minute trying to make sense of it. I’ll add it to the list.
We went through a dinosaur train phase before coco melon. It’s on Netflix, it might be the most educational show I’ve ever watched, the child is too young to know what’s going on but I learned some amount about dinosaurs while that was flavour of the month.
My understanding is the creches are not being asked to close so frontline staff have somewhere to put their children while they go into work.
Anyone that doesn’t really need to put their kid in the creche should keep them at home. Don’t send them in to mix with other children just so you can have a nap on the couch during the day (looking at you @Julio_Geordio).
Our crèche was closed until Wednesday anyway, so we’ll reassess closer to then, but as it stands I don’t see any evidence whatsoever that children are anymore at risk.
And I need my nap
Our crèche is opening and will carry on as normal. They have warned service may be reduced if workers are self isolating or awaiting tests.
Current plan Chez Tinnion is to return to routine from Monday onwards.
This is my belief too and is why mine will be staying home next week.
We’re all in this together.
Still gonna charge those who are non essential & stay away.
