I stuck a sneaky 5 quid on her at 33/1 before the tournament. Sheās the player who consistently over the last number of years has troubled Serena the most. She habitually pushes her all the way in 3 hard sets but nearly always comes up just short. Serena has won all 9 of their previous Grand Slam meetings. Still as Berdych showed in beating Nadal in Australia, even the worst losing records come to an end sometime. I do sense that Serena is struggling a bit physically. She is almost 34.

Saw a bit of Stan on Monday. Not at his storming best for sure, but he has been getting the job done comfortably as you say. If both players get going here, then it has the potential to be a classic, both superb players to watch at their best.
