How did you decide which team you were biased towards?
I didnāt. I couldnāt care less who wins, though being shouted at makes me tetchy.
It must just be every other ref you think is biased so
Calm down dear.

A fair dig in the throat for united and Ferguson from Liew
Old Trafford was a bracing, stunning sight in the hours before kick-off. The men were comfortably outnumbered by women and children. Groups of schoolkids filed up Sir Matt Busby Way in hi-vis jackets. Families giddily posed for selfies in front of the stadium. The queues for the ladiesā toilets had to be seen to be believed. Outside, the fan park bounced to a DJ playing all the old favourites. Inside, the players emerged to primal screams and a riot of fire and fireworks. This ground hadnāt seen this much smoke since the Super League protests.

Certainly for those who have been following the thread of womenās football for a while, it was easy to lose oneself in the symbolism and import, even to feel a little dazed at the sheer pace of progress.
Itās 28 years since Sir Alex Ferguson wrote to a female physiotherapist rejecting her request for a work placement on the basis that āmost of the players felt that football was very much a male sportā. The last time this tournament was staged in 2017, Manchester United didnāt even have a womenās team. Former President McAleese appointed as independent integration Chairperson
The Gaelic Games Associations are pleased to announce that former President of Ireland, Mary McAleese, has agreed to be independent Chairperson of the integration process between the Camogie Association, the GAA, and the Ladies Gaelic Football Association.
Over the course of this year, all three Gaelic Games Associations separately discussed integration towards a One Association model.
Mark Dorman has been confirmed as Project Manager for the integration process.
A timeline on discussions between Chairperson McAleese and the three Associations will be agreed in the coming weeks to advance the project.
This might finally end all the usual bullshit of people moaning how the men/boys are treated better by the GAA. It will also hopefully end the camogie/lgfa cartel of admin personnel and split fees to separate ladies organisations. It also makes huge sense and its about time camogie/lgfa copped on to themselves over it. Keep their own rules and admin or whatever, but at least come under the one umbrella and have it as a proper integrated set up.
