I know plenty lads would manage a dozen at their ease …I’d be in bed for a week if I tried it
Job done. Hit into town early and pinted with a solid crew in a cathedral. Met the full crew for the meal and post meal drink. Slipped off now on the DART before I get rubber armed for late bars/nightclubs. I’ll have two quiet pints before home reflecting on the one person I had a cut at and the one awkward conversation.
I’ll tip in home close to 1am with Mrs Pox thinking I was out with the workcrew till then.
- I’m not an awkward bollox. Nothing more I love than a few pints and craic but not in a fake environment
Thats the nub of it Pox. I couldn’t be arsed myself this year.
Absolutely detest being in that situation. Smart move chief
It can be great craic seeing the quiet lads lose the run of themselves and have a run at one of the good looking wans in the office.
Ah lovely. A few quiet ones for yourself and she’s none the wiser!
You played an absolute blinder there
Nailed it .
I’ve done the same tonight. An odd one. Life moves on I guess
You were much worse than you remember
Just don’t go
14th time around and I still haven’t gone to a Christmas party, all to lose and nothing to gain. Carnage every year, there was a Mike Tyson/Evander Holyfield situation recently
Be careful out there chaps…
The missus bumped into a colleague down Portlaoise CBD. Apparently Sharon shifted a fella from accounts. Both of them are “not able” after it
Thou shalt not express your shock at the fact that
Sharon got off with Brad at a club last night by saying “Is it”.
I’m off to navigate my last ‘office get to together’ of the year . Hopefully an Irish goodbye by 9:30pm
I was invited to my clients one in sheffield this weekend. Before covid I’d have been gone like a shot. Couldn’t have been arsed now
Smothered but will show the face tonight. If @Bod95 has another bag of cans for the train like the AI hurling final I might scoot early with him
I don’t really have any issues attending work Christmas parties but I don’t think they should be held on any night from Friday-Sunday inclusive. Thursday is the optimal/optimum (ignore the word used in the wrong context there) night for a work Christmas do.
