Work Motivation Techniques

How come no-one has had the decency to enquire how Farmers poor tummy is?

Kaolin and Morphine will sort it out for you big fella, tastes like shite but sorts the guts out.

ye just finished going through it there, great read, of all the made up stories iv read on the internet, Dans bank vault one is my favourite.
Bumped into Farmer in town at lunchtime.

I’d noticed the other night he mentioned on here about having to go to Cork for work and how he had some banter with Locke about that horrible little town.

‘How was Cork after?’

‘I didn’t go.’

‘Why?’

‘I was off sick for the last two days.’

‘What was wrong with you?’

‘Upset tummy.’

The more things change, eh.
I guess a good few of you don’t read the astro game threads. Well, Farmer bravely played last night despite being off work sick. He said he doesn’t plan on returning to work until tomorrow. Yet again, it was due to an ‘upset tummy’ and it’s more proof, as if any was needed, that the big man is a thundering disgrace.

What a fraud of a human being.

Does something that long have more than one stomach?

I have said it before but the irony of that coming from someone who went on the dole for almost a year in the middle of the boom, for no other reason than laziness, is incredible.

‘The Workmans Friend’

When things go wrong and will not come right,
Though you do the best you can,
When life looks black as the hour of night -
A PINT OF PLAIN IS YOUR ONLY MAN.

When money’s tight and hard to get
And your horse has also ran,
When all you have is a heap of debt -
A PINT OF PLAIN IS YOUR ONLY MAN.

When health is bad and your heart feels strange,
And your face is pale and wan,
When doctors say you need a change,
A PINT OF PLAIN IS YOUR ONLY MAN. :pint:

When food is scarce and your larder bare
And no rashers grease your pan,
When hunger grows as your meals are rare -
A PINT OF PLAIN IS YOUR ONLY MAN. :pint:

In time of trouble and lousey strife,
You have still got a darlint plan
You still can turn to a brighter life -
A PINT OF PLAIN IS YOUR ONLY MAN.:pint:

Farmer, we could afford to pick and choose in the boom. We were swimming in cash - well, I was anyway. When I took my career break, I wasn’t leaving my employer in the lurch, even though I’m a top notch work. However, things are very different at the moment - we need to redouble our efforts to get this economy moving again and that won’t happen with people picking and choosing what days they bother attending work.

No - just screwing the tax payer.

Firsty by claiming unemployment benefit and also by not paying taxes.

You and your ilk are the reason that the pensioners no longer get their Christmas bonus.

I didn’t claim unemployment benefit for circa 83.33% of time I spent taking a career break. I only claimed for the final month of the six that I took off, as I was actively seeking gainful employment, attending interviews solely for that last month etc. My conscience is very clear in that respect. Were it you could say the same given your work attendance record this week, Farmer. I don’t know how you sleep at night (with your legs dangling down over the end of your bed).

Bandage called in sick on Monday.

On a completely unrelated note, Dublin beat Wexford on Sunday.

Oh wait no, that is related.

Eh, I think you’ll find I was fairly sick about the result on Monday. No point being in work with a valid illness.

I need to get some work done tomorrow. I am not going to be logged on here between the hours of 10am and 1pm.

I’ll let Ball Ox know.

Logging off at 11am to complete some work. Awooga.

And probably heading early to watch the match?

You disgust me.

Now if you excuse me I have an upset tummy.

I’m really struggling at the moment, down to my last two weeks in my current job and I have a pile of stuff to get through before I go. Any tips for me Farmer?

I’m heading to jacks for about 20mins, then I’m gonna get an americano, then I’m gonna work solid for the rest of the day.

Each person works differently Tinnion. Some get through stuff better when under pressure, some are grafters who keep tipping away.

Just remember in 10 years time you really won’t give a shite if you missed a deadline.

I have a funny feeling farmer isn’t all that motivated today.

Second last working day for me thank Christ, no interest in working.
