The wily Martin Phillips is edging bit by bit back into this last 16 clash against Germany’s young gun Michael Unterbuchner.
Unterbuchner led 2-0 but Martin is now 2-0 up in legs in set 4 and one leg away from levelling the match.

Sadly for Martin he’s a has bin in this tournament but he was very gracious in defeat and warmly congratulated his opponent. Lovely to see such camaraderie between the generations.

Incredible atmosphere between matches at the Home of Darts as the knowledgeable crowd sing along to “Sweet Caroline”, the Match of the Day theme is played, and then the connoisseurs of the arrow belt out that old Irish sporting favourite, “Here We Go”.
Where else would you get it?
