As an another aside on a night when Galway beat Westmeath 3-37 to 1-17 and Kilkenny beat Laois 2-34 to 1-14 Brian Cody described the Leinster SHC 2022 as a âdogfightâ. It being the radio I couldnât tell whether he said it with a straight face.
I think he meant to say dog shit
Kilkenny are the real deal
Bringing on Tom Barron was a very strange one. He had a real baptism of fire.
I think Waterford will win on a proper pitch like Croke Park if they get there but theyâll need to fix a few things first.
De Burca and Barron will need to find form and theyâll need to stop running into those big fuckers Limerick have around the middle.
Stephen Bennett not scored from play last two games either
Is Ian Kenny injured? He would have been the obvious sub. Tom Barron, to be fair to him is a wing back first last and always.
Youâd think theyd be able to get Shane Bennett on the pitch before Tom Barron, Cartrach Daly and even Monty too.
Unsurprisingly @peddlerscross thinks under a different set of circumstances Limerick would be beat.
He is.
Corner backs are scarce. Shane Fives came on in Croker in August im pretty sure
Shane wasnât great when he came on against Tipp last week.
Is Kieran Bennett still on the panel?
He is indeed.
Was he on the 26? Would surely be a bit stickier than Barron
Did Powery get through the game incident free?
Sake 3 to qualify out of 4 average teams LK and WD will bate any of those teams up a stick
He was listed no 21. He wouldnât be a corner back either. Losing Iarflaith Daly was a pity because he was doing very well on Gillane.
Really bizarre bringing on Barron maybe heâs going well in training. Donât understand why the two Bennett brothers arenât getting much game time. Perhaps Cahill is holding a few things back
I havenât got the full download yet.
Iâve said it already, I reckon Cahill on the whole, will be pleased with today.
Why is Pat Ryan known as Pat âSimonâ? He silenced a few doubters with a lovely long range score near the end.
Assuming Waterford beat Cork next week (and they will), then this has worked out well for them. The law of averages will be in their favour for the All-Ireland final.
