Itās not my job to make other peopleās arguments for them. Mike made the claim but could not back it up.
I was right to question him. I know your issue, you have a big problem with my probing and challenging because youāre a spoofer and your hostile tone is noted. I think you try very hard to be a bully on here but you donāt have the presence to carry it out.
Why? There are three very similar countries all alongside each other. It makes far more sense to compare them to each other, rather than Hungary or Portugal or Poland.
Belgium, Greece, Czechia, Sweden, Portugal and Hungary all have very similar populations (between 11.6 and 9.6 million according to wikipedia). They are the only European countries in that population range (unless you count Azerbaijan).
Belgium had 22k deaths, Greece 7k, Czechia had 24k, Sweden had 13k, Portugal had 16k and Hungary had 18k. Sweden at no point had a lockdown.
My point was that Sweden had far more fatalities than Ireland. While I was wrong about the multiples I did qualify it by saying Irelndās figures werenāt good.
Sweden has a population of 10.14 million, 20% are over 65 so thatās ~2.0 million in this most at risk group. Ireland has a population of 4.98 million, 14% are over 65, so 700k at most risk. A multiple of X2.9, so Sweden had ~ 3 times the population of people most at risk, the people restrictions are meant to protect.
80% of Covid deaths worldwide are in the over 65 group (95% over 50). 80% of Swedenās Covid deaths is 10,652, and 80% of Irelandās Covid deaths is 3,670, a ratio of ?
How successful was Ireland (and most other places) at protecting their vulnerable compared to Sweden?
I thought this has been debated on here ad nauseum and established as fact. The statistics illustrate that when you age adjust respective populations (Ireland having one of the youngest in EU) there is no discernable difference if you are a 65 year old in Sweden or Ireland and your chances of dying from/ āwithā Covid.
Correct, but you still have lads who argue how badly Sweden have done compared to Norway and Finland, but refuse to compare any other European countries to them.
Accepting that we have 700k over 65, and looking at the vaccine figures being quoted (albeit including healthcare workers) we should have our most vulnerable vaccinated in jig-time.
The gymnastics being delivered to avoid like with like comparison is very entertaining. Ye should get @Enrique to cc ye on his email to the Swedish government telling them that their approach has been, contrary to their own belief, a resounding success. Attach this new back of a fag box calc. I think thatās 3 pieces of irrefutable evidence the TFK experts have now delivered.
