Itās only alright. On the other hand if you are the type who is impressed by waiters bringing your dinner with the big silver silver dome over the plate and doing the big reveal you will absolutely love it.
Depends what type of break youāre looking for. Marfield doesnāt have a pool or spa or anything like that. Iād suspect youād enjoy Seafield more although service levels and food are poor there.
@Mac is Seafield in NAMA? I stayed there a few weeks ago and was disappointed with it. It felt a bit tired and needs investment. They only have one elevator which made it a nightmare to cart baby equipment in and out. The spa was excellent though. It should really be cleaning up, one hour south from the most affluent area in the country (excluding Fingal) and little or no competition on the east coast south of Dublin.
@anon61878697, is it a Blue book voucher youāre trying to use? If it is, go for the cliff House in Ardmore instead. More superior in every way. Marlfield is nice but not exactly the type of place you feel comfortable lounging around in every day. Food is nice but overpriced.
@briantinnion, it was anyway but not sure whoās running it now. Itās gets huge crowds coming down from Dublin on spa weekends before descending on Goreys boutique boulevard. Would never strike me as a place to stay with kids to be honest. You should try Druids Glen if you want a place with proper kids facilities and excellent staff.
