Lockdown 2021 Run Challenge

Excuse my ignorance but is there just a bog standard “Garmin” or different types of Garmin from basic up to very, very fancy?

Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music - 280 notes tho.

Garmin 645 - about 229 notes

I’d go the belt option and get basic Garmin that I have… Garmin forerunner 45

Nearly 300 quid tho

…mm

What’s the point to having one of you still have to carry your phone?

Can that Vivoactive one link to Spotify or do you have to download an auld playlist onto it?

Music… The whole point of the belt is you don’t even know you’re carrying anything, but you’ll have to ask @backinatracksuit… 300 quid is a lot to spend on a watch if you’re only jogging around the park now and again.

You have to download a playlist from what I can see mate. I would say any syncing with Spotify would require the phone with you?

No, the new Garmin’s can play Spotify and Amazon music and others, and can store and play your offline playlists (500 songs worth)
Well they’d better be able to. It says they can.

This one might do the job @Bandage

So it can store 500 songs but can’t link to Spotify?

Both of these watches appear to be compatible with the Spotify IQ Connect app (as long as you have a Spotify premium account) @Bandage

I haven’t used it myself so don’t know (I’ve got a very old model multisport model

Unreal. Thanks for the help.

It’s a bit of a palaver to get music on a garmin it seems.

Flipbelt means you can bring your phone in case the hammer goes 6k from home

The one on Wiggle is a very good price

If you want to buy Irish, I think this also does the job you’re looking for.

You’re welcome
