Premier League 2021-2022 (the Footix thread)

Can’t imagine Jamie Redknapp or anybody on Sky saying anything like this about the Saudis or Abu Dhabi or Abramovich or Qatar at PSG.

Funnily enough, they might allow criticism of Mike Ashley or the Glazers. Because supporters are onside with that. But not the far worse state reputation laundering vehicles.

Serious question cheasty… how do you think the ‘establishment’ can be so wrong and so untrustworthy on so many issues yet so completely right on covid?

Eduard with a cracker. Palace 2-1 at the Emirates.

A classic Arsenal display. Pushed off the ball twice. Two goals conceded. You’d have to wonder what the point of this Nicolas Pepe chap is. They should just write off the €75m they spent on him. And tell him to fuck off. Plus they brought on a chap at half time Sambi Lokonga who is like an Italian tank. He only goes backwards

Lokonga had his pants pulled down for the second goal, they think they’ve all day on the ball. Palace are putting them under serious pressure.

Pepe and Smith Rowe are equally harmless.

Arsenals best players are both full backs

Giving them excess of 100m in tv money for a start. Fear of them

They get to play their main competition as a league format giving their fans a chance to attend games in packed stadiums in high winter. If they’re not good enough for the level theyre in they drop down and play teams at their level.

And if they’re fortunate enough to attract the attention and money of a Middle Eastern billionaire and blonde accomplice then they could suddenly be transformed into a giant of European football. JP must be the GAA equivalent.

Joshua King went back to Goodison and did untold

But would they not be happier in a vibrant Tailteann Cup type competition against teams of their own level?

Getting beaten 7-0 does nothing for them.

No mistaking who City are in that change kit anyway

It’s an abomination

Really? I liked the subtlety of it
