You think you’d be tipping along nicely at 120kmph in the outside lane and some fucker comes flying up behind you in an Alfa Romeo flashing the lights at you

That’s the point I was making kid.

Driving here in Sweden the last few days and the roads are caked with ice and snow, you think you’d be all over the place but the winter tyres are some job

You can yes

Studded tyres? They make some difference

It’s the way you look in the mirror overtaking something in the middle lane steady enough and it’s all clear so you stay out to pass the next lad and as if by magic, there he/she is, so you overtake more quickly, breaking the speed limit considerably to do so as you feel exactly flustered, and then watch as he/she accelerates back to about 180 until they reach the next car, and you realise there’s generally about six of them in a mini convoy, about ten metres apart.
By the same token, there are other lads pottering along about 30 under the speed limit in any lane who seem to give not one fcuk.
It’s like Donegal but with narrower lanes

Yep, unbelievable. You can nearly drive around as you normally would at home

Heading to Cambrils (Eurocamp type holiday resort) in late May. A couple of other families we know heading too with kids etc. Was giddy out when I booked it before Xmas and can’t wait now. Even looking forward to bringing the 3 year old on a plane etc (but not so much his younger brother)

Nice. I haven’t been but gets rave reviews. It’s real top end price wise for that type of holiday

We were in Sanguli (sister resort for older kids right beside it) on our last holiday before Covid. We booked to go back before we left. Anyway we’ll eventually make it back in July this year.

Best holiday I ever had with the kids.

There’s an odd trend in didsbury where nobody seems to be able to go on holidays on their own. I’d honestly say we are the only family that do. It could easily be that we are universally despised either.

Great spot, we went there for 3 years, I did a few pointers for @Rocko before, I’ll try and dig it out

There’s nothing worse I could think of, spending two weeks of my holidays with another family, I barely want to go with my own family!

Did you do the SR-22 route from Florence to Siena? A lovely drive, a bit winding but the road was pretty quiet and easily navigable. A few hairy moments on some narrow roads on the outskirts of Florence (probably diverted onto them by the satnav) but like you said it is relatively relaxing to drive around.
